Senior Accountant/Client Manager

We are delighted to be working with a friendly and busy accountancy practice based in Lincoln, who are looking for a qualified, Senior Accountant from practice to join the team. As the Client Manager onsite the core responsibilities is to manage a portfolio of Clients, new and existing and ensure all elements of their accounting and business needs are met.

This role is based in their Lincoln offices, on the outskirts of the City Centre and is easily commutable from surrounding Lincolnshire villages. There is parking on site.

The role is full time, office based and the working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and 9.00am to 4.00pm on a Friday.

Senior Accountant – Role overview:

  • Conduct client meetings, both in person and virtually, to engage with potential new clients and support existing clients.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from prospective and existing clients, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Ensure appropriate and profitable pricing strategies for both new and existing clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Manage the workflow of client portfolios efficiently, including pre-year-end meetings, the preparation and submission of annual accounts, tax returns, and liaising with HMRC and Companies House on behalf of clients.
  • Complete self assessment tax returns, HMRC Let Property Campaign and 60 day CGT returns.
  • Perform bookkeeping, VAT returns, CIS and payroll services for assigned clients as/when needed.
  • Organise, update, and maintain accurate records using relevant software tools.
  • Attend networking meetings/events to raise awareness within the local area.
  • Provide support to management and team members as required.

Successful applicants will need experience in accounting gained from practice and be able to demonstrate good working knowledge of accounting systems. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
