Head of Case Management – Medical

Our Client, a growing and dynamic Organisation in Stafford are looking for a dedicated Head of Case Management to join a growing team. This role sits as part of the Senior Leadership team and will play a key part in the growing and overseeing of a new key function within the business. You will play a vital leadership role, central to shaping and delivering a high quality, national case management service.

The primary focus of the role will be on leadership, strategy, and service development, you will also be expected to carry your own caseload during the early stages of building the department. This will support continuity of care for clients and help embed clinical excellence from the outset.

The Case Management team work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support. A registered Clinical qualification is essential and an understanding of legal frameworks would be advantageous.

The role is full time and offers hybrid working, with some travel to Client and stakeholder premises. Salary is up to £60,000 and they offer a host of excellent benefits and development opportunities.

Key duties include:

  • Sit on the senior management team and contribute to wider organisational strategy
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and Clinical Director to establish a new division within the business
  • Lead, supervise and support a team of in-house and subcontracted case managers
  • Build relationships with referrers (solicitors, insurers) and ensure service standards are met
  • Maintain oversight of clinical quality, case manager performance, and compliance
  • Develop internal processes to support the delivery of assessments, reports and case management
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and professional development of case management staff
  • Carry and manage a small personal caseload during the initial phase of department development
  • Provide leadership in aligning service delivery with both clinical and legal frameworks

What you will need:

  • Registered clinical qualification (e.g. nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy)
  • Proven leadership experience within a senior management team
  • Experience managing or supervising healthcare or clinical professionals
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary professionals across geographical areas
  • Extensive national network of case managers and rehabilitation providers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with clients, families, and legal teams
  • Strong written communication skills for reviewing and supporting complex clinical reports
  • Organised, with experience in service delivery and performance oversight
  • Practical knowledge and extensive experience with medico-legal and rehabilitation frameworks (especially the Rehabilitation Code)
